Online Insurance Quote - don't forget the car insurance broker
Even today with the advent of 'automated' web systems for scanning the market, consider using a broker. A broker will
do the leg work for you and may well be able to obtain the competitive quote you are looking for. The fact is that
obtaining the best car insurance quote calls for a bit of legwork.
If you are considering going down the broker route, then the following may be able to help.
- Peart Insurance Brokers Ltd have been specialising in performance and classic cars for over 20 years, and have recently added bike insurance to their successful portfolio. Peart offer personally tailored
quotes for a wide range of cover at the most competitive premiums, all backed by top UK insurance companies.

Don't forget that not all policies are the same, consider the following when you are presented with a quote,
- Protected or Guaranteed Bonus protection. Generally a protected bonus will prevent you losing
your ENTIRE no claim bonus in the event of a claim whereas guaranteed enables you to keep your bonus. With a
protected bonus you should consider each policy based on the size and number of any claims you are allowed to make
before affecting your bonus.
- New for old policy. Many insurers will offer to replace a car with a new one if your car is less than 12 months
old. This is definitely worth having if you have a new car.
- Courtesy cars. The length of time you are entitled to a courtesy car will be an important consideration
in the event that you are unfortunate enough to have a major accident. It may well be worth paying a bit extra
for a better clause here.
- Open driving, i.e. the ability to drive other people's cars can be a useful feature but does depend on individual
circumstance. For example if you have no friends, why bother. If open driving is available, will the insurer provide
comprehensive or third party only cover?
There's a whole lot more to an Insurance company than simply the cost of the premium and
the features they offer. We'd recommend that you use the following car insurance review sites to get some ideas
about how these companies will treat you as a customer.
Don't forget that you have an obligation to furnish full details of any circumstances that may affect a
companies willingness to offer you car insurance. If you withhold any relevant details then you can rest assured
that the insurance company will not be there when you need them.
And then there are the myriad of online providers to consider....
